Zesco sign four foreign players

Zesco United have announced the signing of four foreign players during the second transfer and registration period which ended in Zambia on 31 July.
Two of the new arrivals – Davis Kasirye from DC Motema Pembe and Jean Claude Iranzi from MFK Toplocany – were unveiled at the Trade Fair Ground on Tuesday afternoon, while Dieudonne Ntibahezwa and Enock Saumukwama both of Les Messeger Ngozi of Burundi are yet to arrive.
Zesco United Media and Public Relations Officer Katebe Chengo said that the four players were brought in as replacements for players who had left or were about to leave the club.
“We have Davis Kasirye is a striker from Darling Clube Motema Pembe in Democratic Republic of Congo but he is Ugandan. We all know that one of our strikers, Idris Mbombo, left for Saudi Arabia so he is basically a replacement.
“We also have Jean Claude Iranzi, he is Rwandese and has joined us from Slovakia. He is a left winger who will replace Tanzanian Luizio Juma who is expected to make a permanent move to Simba SC.
“The other two are from Burundi. They are yet to arrive but the good news is that their registration has already been done and we have their International Transfer Certificates,” Chengo said
Chengo stated that of the new arrivals only Davis Kasirye had started regular training and might make his debut in the Week 9 rescheduled match away to Lumwana Radiants on Wednesday.
