Liverpool transfer news and rumours: Philippe Coutinho is Paris Saint Germain's second choice to Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint Germain have made Philippe Coutinho their second choice signing behind Kylian Mbappe.
The French side are a huge admirer of the Liverpool winger and see him as a good fit, if they can't bag teenage megastar Mbappe, according to L'Equipe.
Mbappe is also wanted by Real Madrid and Arsenal - with Monaco desperate not to sell to Ligue 1 rival.
The Reds have put an £87m price tag on their star forward and have already rebuffed a PSG enquiry.

Tottenham move ahead of Liverpool in race to sign Schalke star Max Meyer for £17m

Tottenham have moved ahead of Liverpool and Hoffenheim as they look to strike a deal to sign Schalke midfielder Max Meyer
Meyer is being chased by a number of European clubs following his superb performances at the European U21 Championships when he played a major role in helping Germany win the competition.
The 21-year-old star is available for around £17million and has indicated that he is not looking to extend his deal with Schalke, which has less than 12 months to go.
He has already played for Germany's senior side, has an Olympic silver medal and has long been linked with a move to Spurs.

Naby Keita told Liverpool move will not happen - even if Jurgen Klopp bids €100million for Leipzig midfielder

Naby Keita has been told he can’t join Liverpool - even for a fee of 100million euros
Keita is understood to be keen on a switch to Anfield and Jurgen Klopp has made the Red Bull Leipzig midfielder his No 1 transfer target.
But Leipzig are adamant Keita and their other star players are not for sale.
The money-bags Bundesliga side have qualified directly for the Champions League and sporting director Ralf Rangnick says they would not cash in on Keita, even for 100million euros - or £87.8million
